Inclusive dance and fitness community in Williamsburg Brooklyn

GOOD MOVE

GOOD MOVE is NYC’s home for inclusive dance, mindful fitness, and somatic movement classes. Created for every kind of mover, we believe dance and dance-based practices are the greatest wellness tool to find deeper and kinder relationships with ourselves and with one another.

Our classes dissolve intimidation and invite connection, no matter where you’re at in your movement journey. At GOOD MOVE we treat movement and dance as practices of self-expression, healing, and community care.

Come move, sweat, and connect with us, in person and online.

Explore our classes and offerings. We can’t wait to move with you!

Jules Bakshi

Jules Bakshi, founder of GOOD MOVE, is a professional modern dancer, Pilates instructor, and somatic movement educator. For over two decades, she has explored movement as a pathway to creativity, connection, self-discovery, and collective care.

Her teaching focuses on helping people develop deeper, more compassionate relationships with themselves and discover their authentic expression through movement. Blending dance, somatics, Pilates, and nervous system awareness, Jules creates experiences that cultivate strength, confidence, creativity, and self-trust both on and off the dance floor.

Jules is also the creator of Somatic Intuitive Leadership Training (SILT), a six-day immersive program that explores how movement, feminist philosophy, and somatic tools can support women in becoming more grounded leaders, teachers, and community builders. Across all of her work, she is passionate about fostering connection, cultivating embodied wisdom, and helping people access the freedom and possibility that emerge when we learn to listen to our bodies.
