Annie Parr returns to GOOD MOVE with SHIFT.
SHIFT is a musically inspired, non-choreography movement lab. Annie offers scores and suggestions to explore sensation, receptivity, transitions and texture.
The hour is to unlock stale movement patterns to arrive into fresh pathways. Flow, de-tox, and play.

DANCING THE TAROT
Saturday, 3/28, 6:45pm-8:15pm
$45 (non-members + mini members)
$40.50 (unlimited & deluxe members)
Tony Bordonaro is an intuitive card reader, yoga and meditation teacher, and choreographer whose work blends tarot, movement, and embodied intuition. After years performing in immersive theater productions including Sleep No More and Life & Trust, he brings over 12 years of Vedic meditation practice and his experience teaching improvisation (The Ailey School, Rutgers, LIU) into playful, grounding experiences designed to get energy moving and curiosity flowing.
We’ll kick things off with a collective tarot pull to see what energies are in the room, then let the cards lead us into movement. Good Movers will be guided through a playful, improvisational exploration designed to shake loose stuck energy, wake up the body, and flirt with the unknown. This is about getting energy moving again - out of stagnation, into sensation, and galloping forward toward the abundance of 2026. No dance or tarot experience needed. Just bring your body, your curiosity, and your desire for freedom!
Somatic Resonance — An Exclusive Sound & Reiki Experience
Saturday 4/25, 7:00 pm-8:30 pm
$40 (non-members + mini members)
$32 (unlimited members)
Free (deluxe members)
Somatic Resonance is a collaborative project combining group reiki facilitated by Nanse Kawashima with music by Bryce Hackford.
All materials have their resonant frequencies. Bryce Hackford intuitively tunes to the resonant frequencies of human body in meditated performance and observation. These tones generally center lower thresholds of human hearing and can be psychoactive. A viscous music, not unlike cuddling up to a giant cat; you are the glass of water on the dashboard.
Reiki is a well-known form of energy healing with origins in Japan, where it was founded by Mikao Usui in 1922. As a Reiki practitioner, Nanse Kawashima works with universal life force energy while engaging with clients, employing a gentle, light touch of the hands on various energy centers throughout the body. Results can vary significantly; clients often report experiencing a sense of groundedness, inner peace and comforting feeling of coming home to their true self; senses of realignment, recentering and expansiveness. This therapeutic practice is considered beneficial for various imbalances and discomforts in body, mind and spirit.
Kawashima and Hackford view their respective practices as complementary, synergistically blending sound and energy vibrations. When the two resonances merge, they foster a unique sensorial experience, allowing people to drift into relaxation or deepen their bodily awareness.

Core + Restore & Soundbath with Jules & Samer
saturday 3/7, 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Free for GOOD MOVE unlimited & deluxe members
$45 (non-members + mini members)
Our Winter Solstice Core + Restore was such a special experience that we decided to get the band back together (Jules + Samer) for a reflective, dreamy movement journey: active stretching and mobility flow, gentle core activation, and then intentional rest.
Jules leads movement, and Samer winds us into a dreamlike state with gongs, crystal bowls, and his angelic voice.
The sun will be in Pisces, the moon in Scorpio, and Mercury retrograde in Pisces — a time for closure, reflection, and re-framing. This is also the final stretch of winter before we launch into the astrological new year (hello, Aries season!). A moment to focus on rest, revision, patience, and imagination.
We’re like the little seeds still frozen in the earth. Full of potential, but nowhere to go just yet.
Bring a journal and a pillow 🙂

SHIFT
A musically inspired, non-choreography movement lab. Annie offers prompts and suggestions to explore sensation, receptivity, transitions and texture. The class is to unlock stale movement habits to arrive into fresh pathways. The hour is driven by music, energy and tone. No class is the same because Annie guides intuitively. There is no learned choreography. Each song inspires a different place in the body. These places include the many dualities of physicality: quiet movement meditations, small articulate dances, big expressive range, locomotion/stillness, effort and release, grace and abandon, angles and curves. Find your motion potential. Flow, de-tox, tune-in and play.
MDRNYGA
A dynamic mat-less class bridging vinyasa flow yoga, mind-body fitness modalities and floor based modern dance principles. Paced to a playlist ranging from classical to alternative, the sequences are artful movement patterns to stretch, tone and ground the body.
All of the sequences are choreographed and clearly guided similar to a yoga class but with the personality of a dance class. Dancer or not, yogi or not, this is not a traditional dance or yoga class. It is for the athletic and artful minded individual that is looking to creatively expand their practice. This class will open up ones approach to transitions, musicality and flow.
Ultimately, MDRNYGA enables a strong, and efficient body, stimulating grace and fun through motion to connect to your mind to your body.

THURSDAY 8/14, 6:30pm - 8:30pm @DOMINO PARK

Who will be there? What will happen? Anything’s possible and the world is your oyster at ASSEMBLY!
Check out the short film we made about ASSEMBLY here.
A vibrant community performance project welcoming dancers and movers of all levels, genders, ages, shapes, and sizes to participate!
In this two-hour event, GOOD MOVE founder Jules Bakshi and a team of expert facilitators will teach tools and techniques for dance making.
Then, together, we will create an improvised performance, blending our unique styles and ideas into a cohesive dance performance for the public.
Bring your energy, openness, and desire to express yourself through movement—no prior dance experience necessary!
Come experience this unique opportunity to create, collaborate, and perform in a joyful celebration of movement and community.
